At the beginning of each season, top designers unveil their new collections to the public hoping that their handbag will become the next “It Bag” that every celebrity or public figure will carry. And lucky for us, this year’s coveted bag combines both function and beauty and is surprisingly practical. More times than I can count, I have come across a bag that is absolute eye candy yet lacks any sort of functionality and then I find the extremely practical bags that are missing that element of style that I so desperately yearn for. But finally the stars have aligned and I have found the best of both worlds in the bucket bag, this season’s new “It Bag.”

Seeing the bucket bag come back this spring after its long stint in hibernation was absolute music to my ears. It boasts both style and class and is essential for a girl on-the-go, such as myself. The bucket bag was a wardrobe staple amongst our hippie chic moms and it only makes sense that this iconic retro style has made the comeback that it has since 70s styles have returned in a big way. The updated bucket bag is a mix of past designs and precious craftsmanship, and the end result is a beautiful bag that we can’t stop talking about.

With spring’s hottest trend in mind, my sights were immediately set on Chloé’s Emma bucket bag when perusing the Bag Borrow or Steal site. I knew immediately it had to be mine and I couldn’t wait to style the blush beauty within my own wardrobe. I have been rocking this bag all month long and seriously can’t get enough of it. The compliments from perfect strangers have just been the icing on the cake. This bag looks great worn cross body with jeans, a white tee and a pair of slides for your everyday run around town look, and it also looks just as fabulous dressed up for a night out on the town. This season’s “it bag” will pretty much go with any ensemble you wear and the best part is you can actually fit your phone, keys and wallet in it! Shocking, I know!

So if you are looking for a bag that is equal parts style and function, the bucket bag is an absolute essential for you. There are so many bucket styles you can choose from, but the Chloé Emma bag is definitely at the top of my “bucket list.” The best part is you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to give it a try. You can rent this beauty for only $200 per month. Just throw in your daily essentials, and you are ready to take on your day in style!
